In the Pink

February 14, 2012

Regular Champagne may be well and good for birthdays, anniversaries and New Year’s Eve, but for Valentine’s Day, it’s not quite special enough. That’s why we’re thinking pink this year—pink bubbly that is.

Like Cary Grant and Debra Kerr, whose characters bond over their love of the stuff in the romantic cinema classic An Affair to Remember, we also think pink Champagne is fun, light and enjoyable—just like the best kinds of dates—and that’s why we like it.

At The Cove we can serve you bottles of any of our five favorite bubbly rosés, from Tattinger to Cristal, with Veuve Clicquot, Dom Perignon and Ace of Spades in the mix, too. How much you spend only depends on how much you’re looking to impress your date.

If The Cove’s not in your V-Day plans this year—though we can’t imagine it wouldn’t be—you can find pink Champagne aplenty at home. Veuve’s even got a special Valentines package that pairs a bottle of their Rose Label with an incredible, foldable origami-style pink ice bucket created by Belgian design master Mathias Van de Walle. Together, bottle and bucket make the perfect pair.
